A morning moment by Carolyn Vinup, June 25, 2021
It was 5:30am and I was preparing to go to the airport to pick up my daughter Haley from an early morning flight.
I let our dog Hope outside, and she headed straight for the backyard.
As I opened the window shades, I saw a deer lying down in the grass near Haley’s Crabapple tree. Our dog was wandering around the backyard, but she did not see the deer until it stood up.
While I watch the scene unfold, I made eye contact with the deer and was sending energy to the deer and chanting OM.
Hope began to bark and the deer ran into the neighbor’s yard. I clapped my hands for Hope to come and she ran up the side hill and out of sight. With the dogs departure, the deer ran back into our yard. Then the deer walks back near the deck and our Crabtree’s, and I start talking to the deer again.
The deer didn’t appear to be frightened of me and actually seemed to be there to communicate with me. I grabbed my phone and went back on the deck. The deer is still in the yard, watching and waiting.
I walked down most of the deck steps and then captured this encounter with my sweet deer friend.
I Chanted 3 OM’s and then chanted the Gayatri Mantra which means
Infusing Spiritual Light. It is one of the oldest known mantras.
It was a beautiful way to start my day!
Significance of the story:
I was up most of the night, because I was checking my phone to stay connected to Haley’s red-eye flight from Portland back to Minnesota.
She is driving back to Chicago in a few days and her drive starts around 6pm. The thought of this makes me nervous.
I was sending energy ahead of her path to make sure her car is safe as she travels through Wisconsin and makes it safely back to Chicago.
When my encounter happened this morning with the deer. I felt my interaction with this deer was a message to bring me peace and reasurrance that my daughter would make it back to her home safely.
The other thing that was significant in this encounter, was that the deer was lying in front of Haley’s Crabtree. Each
of our daughters has a Crabtree in our backyard. Again, I felt this was significant and meant she will be protected and guided as she drives to Chicago and arrives safely.
I am grateful for this message from the Universe. It was truly a blessing this morning.
